IS are developed using IT to aid an individual in performing a task. The impacts of IT are often indirect and influenced by human, organizational, and environmental factors therefore, measurement of information systems (IS) success is both complex and illusive. ![]() Naturally, organizations are interested in knowing the return on these investments. However, fears about economic conditions and increasing competition create pressures to cut costs, which require organizations to measure and examine the benefits and costs of technology. ![]() In 2008, organizations continue to increase spending on information technology (IT) and their budgets continue to rise, even in the face of potential economic downturns ( Kanaracus, 2008). ![]()
